Carol’s story Carol Buelah Crippen Johnson was born Tuesday, September 28, 1965 to Virginia Mary Crippen and William Edward Teagle in Stockton, Maryland and was the youngest of eight children. She returned to her heavenly home on April 13, 2019 and proceed by her late husband William "Billy" Johnson, brother Clayvolyn "Clay", grandmother Buelah Ginns Crippen, grandfather Clarence Crippen, grandmother's sister Virgina Purnell, nephew's Jona Barkley, Marco Gonzales, Frank Triplett, Kyree Triplett, and niece Jayden Gonzales. She attended the Resurrection Center of Wilmington, Delaware and avidly gave her time in volunteer service. Carol loved reading, decorating, drawing, crocheting, cooking, water aerobics and spending time with her fiancé and family. In her early educational years, she attended the Worcester County system and continued her education at Cecil County Community College in North East, Maryland. Carol leaves much love to her fiancé, Edward Reed who affectionately called her Honey, Baby, or Sweetheart. To her family and friends she was known as Mom, Aunt CJ, or Aunt Carol. She always had a smile, a word of encouragement, an unjudging ear, a funny story, and a heart of forgiveness and thanksgiving. Never too busy to take a minute for anyone, she was the best; always ending every call or visit with “I love you”. She lived everyday so that her loved ones knew what they meant to her. Edward knew every day that he meant the world to her. She made sure her "Babies" (daughter, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews) knew they were the apple of her eye and that she was proud of each and every one of them. Carol Buelah Crippen Johnson can be summed in a few words, “A GOOD KIND WOMAN”. She was one of the best any of us have ever known and was loved by everyone she met. Carol was a dear sister, one of our favorite aunts, and a devoted loving companion. "FOUNDATION & SUPPORT", she taught her Babies their family history and to follow their dreams. and Carol thanked the Lord for each day and everyone in her life. She is survived by her fiancé, Edward Read; three sisters, Wanda Romona Crippen, Konya Crippen, Coya Crippen Williams; daughter, Shannon Irvin and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and other relatives and friends. She was a gift and we thank God for gifting her to us. We will miss her dearly and never forget the love she shared during her life.
