Mr. Albert Lee Giddens

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are Albert Lee Giddens was born in Accomac, Virginia to the late Morris L. White and the late Geneva Giddens on February 10, 1960. Albert answered the master’s call and entered the gates of heaven on Sunday, December 9, 2018 in Accomac County, Virginia. Albert was educated in the Accomac County Public School System. At a young age Albert learned how to work well with his hands. He was a very good auto mechanic and spent countless hours working on family and friends cars. Albert was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and could often be seen wearing his Cowboy attire. “Al Lee” as he was affectionately called was a loyal friend to many, often reminiscing about his younger days growing up “down the Neck”. In his later years sitting under the shade tree and tending to his doggy (Peaches) were his favorite past times. Once Albert became ill he traveled to Newport News, Virginia received the care he needed in hopes of returning to the Eastern Shore. It was God’s desire that he would return and enjoy the life he once lived. Albert is preceded in death by his brothers Ivan Giddens, Clifton Giddens, and Curtis White. To cherish his fond memories Albert leaves his step mother Barbara White; daughter Shintina Garris; grandchildren Omarion Garris, I’Tyra Garris, and C’Ana Garris-Prostell; siblings Phylis Blair and Steve White; aunts Rosie Simpkins, Lena Frances Smith, and Flossie Boggs; nieces/nephews Toby Blair, Shantell Bogues, and Vielda (Cookie) Blair; and his loving companion of 18 years, Alice Dorsey. The family of Albert Giddens wishes to extend a sincere thanks to his caregivers at the Warwick Forest Assisted Living Facility and his extended family Otis Strand, Curtis Strand, and Dee Hall. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us throughout our day. Unseen, unheard but always near; still loved, still missed, and very dear. Alfred will be deeply missed but his memories will be forever cherished and his love forever felt. A viewing will be held 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Scott and Smith Funeral Home-22421 Lankford Highway, Accomac, Virginia, 23301. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Scott and Smith Funeral Home- 22421 Lankford Highway, Accomac, Virginia, 23301. with the Pastor Robert Garris of African Baptist Church of Cheriton, Virginia officiating.
