Mr. Keith M. Scott

Keith McStevie Scott, the oldest of seven children and son of the late Helen Scott Taylor, peacefully departed this life on January 28, 2025 in Norfolk, Virginia. He was born November 29, 1949 in Martin County, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by the following Siblings: sisters; Loretta Taylor, Deborah Taylor Hagan and brother Stanley Taylor. Keith McStevie Scott, known as “Stevie” by everyone, was educated in Martin County School System and graduated from E.J. Hayes High School in 1968. Faithfully, through the years, he attended his high school class reunions and maintained a collection of memorable programs of the affairs. After graduating, Stevie went into the military and joined the Army where he served his country for several years, including being stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina ranked as a Sp5. Upon leaving the military, Stevie moved to Norfolk, Virginia and lived with his cousin Marshall Scott and family for a while. He was employed at KIMNACH Ford Company as a Maintenance Technician for many years. Stevie was a hard worker and faithfully attended to his job with pride. During his latter years, Stevie devoted his time and effort to transporting his neighbors, friends and others to doctor appointments, Wal-Mart, and the supermarket. Stevie was a very quiet and reserved individual. As a child, you would always see him tagging along-side his grandfather, “Luke” Scott, as his shadow. He faithfully attended family reunions, the Annual Williamston Homecoming Weekend, and Home-going Services of family members. Although, he was a quiet person, once he opened up to you, conversation had no ending. His gracious smile radiated as he interacted with others. Stevie also was very Sports oriented and his favorite football team was the “Dallas Cowboys”. Stevie leaves to cherish his memories: Stephanie Brown (Daughter), Charlotte, NC, Sister, Donna Fay Biggs(Tacoma, Washington) 2 Brothers; Robert Taylor (Goldsboro, NC), Kevin Taylor(Tacoma, Washington), Nieces: Dana Taylor(Fayetteville, NC) Shawntay Hagan(Houston, Texas),Dominique Biggs(Tacoma, Washington) Helena Chesson-Washington (Williamston, NC)Francesca Biggs(Raeford, NC), Michelle Taylor( Salisbury, NC) Nephews: Franco Biggs(Tacoma, Washington)Corey Taylor (Charlotte, NC) and a host of Special cousins, family and friends.
